Have you ever wanted to improve your company web page but didn’t know where to start? Want to hire someone to help you but don’t know what to look for in a web developer resume?
Two things to look for when hiring a web developer for your business:
Look at their portfolio:
When looking to hire someone to do a job that requires artistic/technological skill you need to be able to see what their work is like.
Darren Veerapa, CPA, Master in Finance, says that when they do show you a portfolio you should “Check that you can see their logo at the bottom or look for other proofs that it is their work.”
This is incredibly important because you must make sure that you will be getting what you are looking at. If there is no proof you could be looking at an elegant and sleek web page then end up with one that has monkeys on it.

It is also at times difficult to explain to someone what it is you want done so looking not only at the web developer's resume but also at their portfolio will give you an understanding of what their work is like.

Check For The Right Attitude

By optimistic attitude I don't mean hire a highschool cheerleader but rather someone who is optimistic in the normal sense. I mean, imagine your web developer standing in front of a computer screaming "give me a W!" nothing would get done at the office.
If a person seems to make excuses rather than coming up with ideas on how to make something work it is unlikely that you will get the website you are looking for from them.
In order to have a website that you are happy with your web designer needs to be able to figure out a way to do what you want them to. It is incredily important to look for clues of good attitude/problem solving skills that show they could be a good web developer.
